ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County, Maryland Department of Public Works announced a partnership with Dart Container Corporation, a leading manufacturer and recycler of polystyrene foam #6 foodservice products, to collect these products at the county’s Alpha Ridge Landfill Residents’ Convenience Center.
The foam #6 items, accepted at the convenience center only, include white packaging, clean drinking cups and food containers, egg cartons, and clean food trays marked with a #6 in the Resin Identification Code symbol. Foam #6 items that were in contact with food or drinks should be rinsed.
