Conyers, GA – Dart Container is pleased to announce that for the fifth consecutive year, the company’s employees have volunteered their time and efforts to help clean up the area surrounding their Conyers facility. The volunteers are part of Dart’s Community Action Team (DCAT), which is involved in projects throughout the U.S. that are centered on keeping places like Georgia beautiful for residents and visitors.
As part of Dart’s Earth Day celebration and commitment to environmental stewardship, the DCAT volunteers spent the weekend of April 24th working a combined total of 42 hours. In the end, the group was able to place 150 bales of pine straw around the perimeter, as well as plant flower gardens and cacti plants.
“Being located on the very busy Highway138 takes an extra ongoing effort to keep our perimeter clean and welcoming,” said Lisa S. Phillips, Human Resources Manager at Dart’s Conyers facility. “This annual clean up and beautification event has been very successful each year, and we plan on continuing the tradition during the week of Earth Day every year.”
