Jim joined Dart Container Corporation in 1986, and was named President of the company in 2014. For many years prior to that, Jim served as Dart’s Executive Vice President of Administration and General Counsel. As President, Jim is responsible for all domestic and international business operations for Dart and its affiliated companies.
He also serves as Vice President of the Dart Foundation, a private family foundation established in 1984 by William A. and Claire T. Dart.
Over the course of his career, Jim has served in leadership roles in a variety of national trade associations and Michigan-based non-profit organizations.
Jim has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor from The University of Michigan Law School.
Bob began his career at Dart in 1988. He has held many positions throughout his career at Dart, including Sales Representative, Territory Sales Representative, District Sales Representative, District Sales Manager, Administrative Sales Manager, Manager of Sales-Institutional Division and Director of Sales-Institutional Division. He was named VP of Sales-U.S. Foodservice Division in 2012, Senior VP-U.S. Sales in 2014, and EVP-Sales in 2015.
As EVP-Sales, Bob leads sales efforts for Dart’s domestic and international (except for Canada) foodservice, national accounts and consumer products divisions. He also oversees administrative sales support functions. He is based in our Deerfield Beach, Florida, office.
Bob has a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
Dan joined Dart in 1987 as a Product Analyst in the company’s Marketing Management Department. He has held positions of increasing responsibility at Dart, including Product Manager, Vice President-Global Expansion, Vice President-Manufacturing, Executive Vice President-Manufacturing and Executive Vice President-Engineering and Manufacturing. Dan also served as the chair of Dart’s EntERPrise SAP Project Implementation Steering Team from 2011-2016.
As EVP-International Operations, Dan leads Dart’s international manufacturing, international marketing management and international administrative sales, production planning and logistics, and the coordination of international strategies.
Dan has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University.
Chris joined Dart’s Accounting Department in 1992 after having worked at Ernst & Young’s Lansing office for three years, where she became a Certified Public Accountant. She was promoted to Controller in 2010 where she assumed overall responsibility for Dart’s Accounting Department. In 2012 she was named the company’s first Chief Financial Officer. In 2014 Chris was named Executive Vice President-Finance and CFO for Dart Container Corporation.
As EVP-Finance and CFO, Chris is responsible for Dart’s tax, treasury, accounting, risk management, information technology and procurement departments.
Chris has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Michigan State University where she was a member of the international honors business fraternity Beta Alpha Psi.
Mike joined Dart in August 2015 as Vice President-Engineering and Machinery Manufacturing and was promoted to Executive Vice President-Engineering and Machinery Manufacturing in 2016. He came to Dart after 25 years in the packaging industry, most recently with Owens-Illinois, where he focused on technical leadership in new product development, innovation, operations, manufacturing processes, facilities, automation and project management.
As EVP-Engineering, Mike is responsible for Dart’s engineering, machinery manufacturing and facilities engineering departments.
Mike has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and master’s degree in business administration, both from the University of Toledo.
Tom joined Dart in 1990 as a Product Analyst in our Marketing Management Department. Tom was promoted to the position of Marketing Management Department Manager in 1999, then to Vice President of Business Development in 2005 and EVP-Business Development in 2012.
As EVP-Business Development, Tom is responsible for Dart's U.S. marketing management, administrative sales, consumer products marketing and foodservice market research departments, as well as our Canadian sales, marketing, customer service, and finance functions.
Tom graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University.
Pete joined Solo in 2007 as Vice President of Manufacturing. In 2008 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Manufacturing, broadening his responsibilities to include new product development, engineering and the program management office. He was named Vice President of Manufacturing-Domestic in 2012 after Dart acquired Solo. Prior to joining Solo, Pete was employed by Georgia-Pacific Corporation for 18 years, his last position being Vice President–Paper Operations for the Dixie business.
As EVP-Manufacturing, Pete oversees all domestic foodservice packaging manufacturing. He is based in our Lincolnshire, Illinois, office.
Pete has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
